GUILTY Web Movie Review is out. Read on to know whether this debut production of Dharmatic Entertainment – a Netflix original is worth a watch or not.
If #MeTooINDIA had a face, it has to be GUILTY. Ask me for a strongest art form depicting the agony of all #MeToo survivors, it has to be GUILTY. If I have to pick most hard hitting cinematic experience coming out of Dharma factory in last 5 years or so, it has to be GUILTY.
Story keeps you hooked till the very last scene. The Question, Whether victim is culprit or culprit is victim ??? It keeps haunting you throughout the narrative. Who is manipulating facts and who is getting manipulated ??? It keeps stinging you after every 10 minutes.
Kiara Advani is a star. With GUILTY she proves that given a strong character she can show her true colors. Her acting chops are incredible in this highly complicated role. Her character keeps swinging like pendulum. She wants to believe that her boyfriend is innocent but not at the cost of sacrificing the truth. Her outburst in climax will win you over.
Taher Shabbir as lawyer is a no non sense guy. He knows his job as an actor and looks like he has done his home work. Also, his character is the most uncomplex of whole cast.
Take a bow Karan Johar – The Producer & Ruchi Narain – The Director. Most striking aspect about GUILTY is that it is produced by the man who has innumerable times faced allegations on what not !!! Movie mafia, king of nepotism, caged in making mushy mushy cinema… The list is endless. But, here comes the man, Karan Johar, with a movie which breaks all this myths. Presenting #MeToo story in as real manner as possible might offend some of his Bollywood industry friends. Seems like, he has taken calculative risk.
Ruchi Narain as a director has done tremendous job. She has presented the story from different POVs in layered manner. Narrative is gripping barring few scenes in both the halves. GUILTY will certainly give her the recognition, she must be longing & deserving since all these years.

Dharmatic entertainment could not have debuted in better manner. GUILTY sets the tone of what to expect from the upcoming projects of this latest Dharma Productions’ wing .
At the end of this GUILTY web movie review, upper BALCONY strongly recommends it. Watch it as it delivers very fierce message without being apologetic.
